Land West of Hill Farm, East Hanningfield, Chelmsford

Lanpro has secured planning permission for a 37MW Solar Farm at East Hanningfield. The development will create enough green energy to power approximately 12,500 homes throughout its 40-year life.

Lanpro identified the planning strategy for bringing forward the development; prepared and submitted an EIA Scoping Opinion; undertook the Landscape and Visual Assessment, and Heritage Environment Desk-Based Assessment; and led on the preparation, submission and negotiation of the planning application.

Lanpro worked with the City Council and its advisors to agree a commercially viable, but mutually acceptable solution, to mitigating the landscape and visual impacts of the proposed development.

Officer’s recommended that planning permission was granted, and Members approved the development at Planning Committee on 5th July 2022.
