The school is proposed to be sited on land allocated for employment use. The scheme was opposed by local businesses, which had threatened legal challenge (Judicial Review- JR) to any planning consent. Lanpro assisted the client in ‘JR-proofing’ the application.
Working closely with architects Concertus, Lanpro produced the Planning Statement setting out the planning case for approval of the development. In addition, we prepared an employment land study to establish that the loss of the site from employment land supply would not have a detrimental impact.
The local planning authority considered that the development constituted EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) development. Lanpro managed, co-ordinated and prepared the Environmental Statement required to support the planning application.
