Harford Bridge, Norwich

Lanpro undertook a detailed Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment to justify the 6.94 ha expansion of emerging employment allocation KES2, within the Site Specific Allocation and Policies Document forming part of the South Norfolk Local Plan.

This assessment work justified the expansion of the employment park into the open countryside and the established A47 Southern Bypass Protection Zone.

The landscape assessment work undertaken by Lanpro examined the existing character of the surrounding landscape, the extent of visual and landscape change resulting from the proposal and importantly the areas capacity to accommodate the planned development.

This work involved fixing the visual envelope of the scheme at a variety of building heights and the preparation of scaled photomontages to correctly assess the impact of the proposals on the wider landscape.
