Thurne Planning Permission
Lanpro are pleased to have secured planning permission for the construction of a new industrial link building and change of use of a warehouse to light industrial use on behalf of Thurne-Middleby Limited.
The application involved negotiating the removal of 5 trees protected under a group Tree Preservation Order (TPO) to enable the new building to go ahead. Lanpro managed the pre-application and application processes, alongside Proworks who provided the architectural and landscape consultancy for the building. The permission will now enable the project to be realised, with Proworks continuing to be involved in the detailed technical design and delivery of the project through to construction phase. Thurne-Middleby Ltd is a local hi-tech business which has occupied its current premises at Pinetrees Business Park since 1990. It employs 86 people on site and has built up an international reputation for high quality, precision engineered industrial slicing systems for bacon, cooked meats and cheese applications. The company is a global leader in the production of such systems.
