The site is not allocated in the development plan, however, Lanpro argued that the site was in a sustainable location within a Service Village which accommodates a range of facilities and is therefore capable of development. Given these sustainability credentials and the Council’s lack of 5-year housing land supply, we maintained that the proposals should be approved.
The development will provide a range of house types including affordable homes, in compliance with policy, on-site children’s play space and new structural landscaping.
Lanpro identified the planning strategy and led on the preparation and submission of the planning application, including the community consultation programme. We provided design input to the project as well as utilising our in-house heritage, transport and archaeological services.
