Sedgeford secured planning permission
Lanpro has secured planning permission at appeal for the demolition and replacement of an existing dwelling house and the change of use of an existing barn into ancillary accommodation in Sedgeford, Norfolk.
We were approached after the application was refused on grounds that the proposal would result in the loss of a non-designated heritage asset and the effects of the proposed development on the character and appearance of the area.
Our team demonstrated that there was not a sufficient justification for the building to be considered as a non-designated heritage asset. Additionally, the replacement dwelling, a grand 7-bedroom house influenced by ‘Queen Anne’ style architecture, would be of a high quality and that other similar buildings were present on the landscape. The inspector agreed and concluded that the scheme would not result in harm to the character and appearance of the area.
