Lanpro secure consent on appeal for a 7,500 sq ft storage building - Coggeshall, Braintree
Lanpro have secured on appeal the erection of a B8 storage building in the Braintree District Council area. The building will provide a local infrastructure delivery business with 700 sq m (7500 sq ft) of storage space.
The site is located in Coggeshall and Braintree District Council had refused the application on landscape impact grounds. We presented a case to the Planning Inspectorate which detailed that the impacts of the development on the landscape would be minimal and that any negative outcomes would be significantly outweighed by the positive economic and social benefits the development would bring. Furthermore, these benefits could only be secured through this proposal and failure to secure the consent could result in an important local business having to seeking an alternative location.
The Planning Inspector fully agreed with our opinion on the case and allowed the appeal. This is an important decision for a local business who will now be able to implement their growth plans around their preferred site and location.
