Waveney District Council – Preferred Options for Future Development

Waveney District Council is preparing a new Local Plan for the District.

The Council’s Cabinet considered the First Draft Local Plan at its meeting on 12 July 2017 and agreed that it be published for public consultation from Friday 28 July until Friday 22 September 2017.

The First Draft Plan sets out the level of growth to be accommodated in Waveney up to 2036, including 8,223 new homes (374 per year) and 5,000 new jobs. The Plan also sets out the planning policies which the Council will use to determine planning applications and the sites that they propose to accommodate the planned growth.

If you own land within the District and want to know it if is being considered for future development by the Council or feel it should be, Lanpro can provide you with advice.

Alternatively if you know that the Council has identified your site as being suitable for development in the First Draft Plan and you want to know how best to maximise your chances of securing its allocation, then Lanpro can help you promote your site and maximise its development potential.

The draft Local Plan documents can be accessed via the Council’s website at http://consult.waveney.gov.uk/consult.ti/firstdraftlocalplan2017/consultationHome
