Cottam and West Burton NSIP Solar Projects Update 24 August 2022

Statutory Consultation has just closed on these two projects and our Major Infrastructure team now focuses on preparing the DCO applications for submission this year. Working alongside solar ‘gurus’ Pinsent Masons, we are leading the wider teams working on the proposals. As well as project management, we are providing planning, EIA, landscape, heritage & archaeology and GIS services to our client, IGP.

The projects will collectively deliver over a gigawatt of energy from a renewable source. We trust that by the time the applications come to be determined, the negative ‘noise’ around siting large scale solar in the countryside, associated with the current Tory leadership process, will have died down and we will be working in a sensible policy environment in the push to net zero.
