Approval of 9 dwellings at Water Lane, Stansted Mountfitchet

Lanpro have secured under delegated powers the approval of 9 dwellings in Stansted Mountfitchet. The Reserved Matters application was approved by Uttlesford District Council following Lanpro’s successful appeal against the Council’s original refusal of the outline application.

The brownfield site presented a series of challenges due to it being a former gas holder, partially in Flood Zone 3, accessed via a single track laneway and adjacent to Stansted Mountfitchet railway station.  However, through careful project management of the multi-disciplinary team, a considerate, high quality design outcome and negotiation with the Council’s Officers we have delivered a consent that optimises the development potential of a brownfield site in a highly sustainable location. 

Lanpro provided the planning, project management and heritage consultancy services alongside Proworks who undertook the architectural and landscape design consultancy on the project.
