The Ferry Boat Inn pub site proposals comprise 41 no. flatted dwellings located adjacent to the River Wensum. The site conditions are complex and the subject of a lengthy planning history. The Ferry Boat Inn PH, a grade II Listed Building will be retained under the proposals and subdivided into flats. In addition a historical section of public roadway linking King Street with the River Wensum frontage will also be re-instated through the site, under the proposals.
At Norwich City Council’s Planning Committee this week, our Head of Planning, Ian Douglass and a representative from the developer were extraordinarily called to the committee table to respond to Members concerns about the completion of the scheme. The application was approved unanimously bar one member who opposed the proposal.
