Martham, Great Yarmouth

Lanpro successfully secured outline planning permission on behalf of Glavenhill Strategic Land for the development of 56 new dwellings on a greenfield site adjoining the western side of the existing village settlement of Martham in Great Yarmouth.

The successful permission will deliver much-needed housing in a Borough that is currently unable to demonstrate a 5-year housing land-supply. The site is bordered by existing housing development and as a designated primary village within the Borough, Martham is considered a sustainable location for housing development due to the high level of services and facilities it has to offer.

The development will provide a range of house types including affordable homes and provision for on-site shared open space, both in compliance with policy. The development makes provision for a new bus stop adjacent to the site, ensuring that the site is well-connected to nearby services and facilities.

Lanpro identified the planning strategy and led on the preparation and submission of the planning application, including the community consultation programme. Lanpro also provided design input to the project, as-well as utilising our in-house specialist transport and archaeological services.
