Lanpro have secured planning permission for a new church hall at a site on Oaks Lane, Postwick. Broadland District Council’s planning committee unanimously voted for approval. The development will provide a new church hall for the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church of Norwich to accommodate their growing congregation.
The building was designed to minimise its impact on the surrounding landscape with the proposed materials intending to create a barn like external appearance. There will be a new permissive path provided within the site along with public access to proposed landscaped areas. There will also be a new pedestrian footpath which links the site with the Postwick Park and Ride.
The application was prepared and managed by Lanpro’s Associate Planner Jane Crichton, who said:
“Lanpro were pleased to work with the church to demonstrate to Broadland Council that this location was the right one for this new community facility. The new facility will provide long term security for the church and accommodate their growing congregation.”
