Lanpro was approached by JDL Engineering on behalf of a householder to provide appropriate advice and services to secure appropriate consents for the installation of a package of roof and ground mounted photo-voltaic solar arrays and support infrastructure, including battery storage the whole package is to enable the end client to secure a consistent and reliable off-grid electricity supply.
Following site visit and appraisal, our advice confirmed that only the ground mounted array would require planning permission, the remainder allowable under domestic permitted development rights. Advice and technical design support ensured the array avoided existing trees, utilities and services and did not result in solar glare on passing traffic.
Regular exchange with the Case Officer ensured that the planning permission was issued within the necessary timeframes.
