Lanpro have secured the planning approval to redevelop the St. Stephens Towers site to provide for 700 student bed spaces. The approval will provide for a £50 million investment to bring back into positive re‐use redundant office buildings in the City Centre. The student accommodation will provide for significant benefits with regards to the local economy, the accommodation offering available to the City’s students and the appearance of the St. Stephens Street area. The development should see the first students take up residence in Summer 2019 and will help to ease the current high demand for purpose built student accommodation in the City.
Ian Reilly, Senior Associate Planner “We worked positively and proactively with the Council to deliver this important and exciting urban regeneration project. For Norwich City Centre the development will deliver an unprecedented and unique amount of student accommodation on one site. We are very pleased to have delivered the planning approval for our client and look forward to working with them on the build out”
