South Norfolk Council’s planning committee have approved an outline planning application for circa 30, 0000 sq metres of B1, B2 and B8 floorspace at Harford Bridge on the edge of Norwich. Many of the long-allocated employment and development sites in the Greater Norwich area have an infrastructure deficit (amongst other constraints) which is fettering their ability to come forward. As well as delivering a substantial amount of employment floorspace, this development will provide for a new link road between the A140 and the B1113 which will greatly improve general traffic flow in the area and remove the regular congestion experienced by drivers.
The application was prepared and managed, with permission secured by Lanpro on behalf of MAHB Capital. Lanpro carried out the planning and masterplanning work for the proposal. Ian Douglass, Head of Planning at Lanpro said:
“Working with Officers of the Council, Lanpro, on behalf of the applicant, successfully argued that the public benefits associated with the highway improvements and potential job creation outweighed any perceived landscape and visual impacts”.
